when you have to quote Narendra Modi favorably:
“Such discrimination, amongst the eligible beneficiaries, for flow of funds based on minority status, will not help the cause in taking people of India together on the path of development,” he said.
(He asked) the Prime Minister how was “religion important” for a government strategy on inclusive growth.
Nitin calls this “communal socialism” and Atanu says “with friends like Dr. [Manmohan] Singh, the minorities don’t need any enemies”.

Indeed. One should also note that of all the great and the good people assembled there, only Narendra Modi called Manmohan Singh on that one. Something *is* wrong.
Btw, the term communal socialism was coined by my INI co-blogger Yossarin, of Offstumped. I think it’s a very good phrase to describe the UPA’s ideology.
